One of my closest friends asked me about my paintings a few weeks ago. Then another. They wanted to know the stories behind them. That got me thinking that I need to share my story more and also make the art easier to see and find. Also while I was enjoying a private tour of the Thomas Hart Benton Home and Studio a few months ago, the curator explained how Benton (my distant relative and famous American Artist) made sure to have prints available so that anyone could have his art in their home.
So I set out to share the story about my art with you as well as provide easier access. It’s here. Since October I worked and worked and finally it is ready! Now I am offering you posters and prints starting at $25 so all the creative friends who enjoy my art can have some.
I make inspiring meditative artwork for creatives to energize their life and dreams. Here’s a two-minute video with a taste of some of the stories behind my artwork series called Freedom Muses.
Journey over destination. To me, art is about remembering. Art uses beauty to carry our hopes and memories through our everyday journey. I hope you’ll find one of these 12 prints to inspire your creativity.

I have had so much amazing feedback on my writing for creatives. I believe the best way to show a clarified vision is through your bio. Your creative personal statement about your work goes everywhere, on your website, on a plaque or dedication, in grants applications and proposals, on your book jacket, on your websites, in Wikipedia, on programs, on art shows documentation, social media, and more…I’d like to write for you! SOMETHING NEW IS HAPPENING ATPOLLYMCCANN.COMI am offering writing for artists & creatives: one on one personal branding packages, or creative practice workshops. This March I had the theme of Fostering Care. I worked with Marcia and also taught my Doorway to Story Workshop to the Reconciliation Services’ Foster Grandparents, plus a great set of workshops on the Creative Practice of Sewing and Mending. I taught sewing and Journaling to older Teens and Young Adults through Cornerstones of Care, KCK Community College, and Kansas Beats the Virus Grant. It was so great to share my love of art and writing with people of all ages this month. If you’d like to request a workshop for the summer or fall, let me know!
