Unicorn joins Solidarity: Black Lives Matter

Posted by Bob Evans

And then they came for me.

This is not a time to be complacent. No one is immune to racism and hate.

For over 45 years, Unicorn has told hundreds of stories written and performed by diverse artists.

All of us at Unicorn Theatre join in solidarity with our artists, audiences, and community to condemn and call for an end to systemic racism and unjust violence against Black Americans. We stand with everyone seeking justice for the murders of Tony McDade, George Floyd, Nina Pop, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Sean Reed, and all victims of racist violence. Black Lives Matter. We stand by our Black colleagues, patrons, friends, neighbors, and the entire Black community.

At the Unicorn, we pledge to make every effort to fight racism, bigotry and injustice. We must stand together. And we must do better.
