Olathe’s Chestnut Fine Arts presents ‘I Do, I Do’
Olathe, KS – Sept. 16, 2016 – I Do! I Do! opened Sept 15 at the Chestnut Fine Art
timeless, intimate story of young newlyweds, Agnes and Michael. The musical play takes us from their wedding night jitters to the thrills of parenthood, midlife crises and finally, to the golden years of their relationship. One of the most charming love songs ever, My Cup Runneth Over, was written for this touching story of friendship, support and most importantly, love. This performance is rated G.
I Do! I Do! is written by Tom Jones with music by Harvey Schmidt. It stars Robert Gibby Brand and Licia Watson. This show is directed by Brad Zimmerman.
I Do! I Do! runs Sept. 15 – Oct 23., 2016 at the Chestnut Fine Arts Center located at 234 North Chestnut in Olathe. Performances are Thursday through Saturday evenings at 7:30 pm, Sunday matinees at 2 pm, select Saturday matinees at 2 pm and select Wednesdays at 7:30pm. Tickets are $28.00; discounts available for seniors, students and groups.
About the Chestnut:
The Chestnut Fine Arts Center opened its doors in May, 1998 in Olathe, KS, as a sole proprietorship, and it operated in a small one-room theatre. Throughout the next four years, the Chestnut flourished and in July, 2002, became fully incorporated as a non-profit organization within Kansas and was granted 501(c) (3) status by the IRS. The Chestnut is proud of its top-quality entertainment — all ages are welcome and encouraged to attend all performances.
