Melting Pot ends season with new play

For Immediate Release:
KC Melting Pot Theatre presents the fourth offering of their 2017-2018 season which is inspired by empowering communities to action with works focused on social protest and resistance.Ain’t No Such Thing as Midnight Black by Lewis J. Morrow.
After achieving the American Dream of a college education, a family and a house with a white picket fence, Ellington is all but hopeless. Sick and tired of watching Black people die at the hands of the police, he organizes a re-segregation movement to take one thousand Black people to a remote place where they can live in peace. What Ellington cannot predict is that the biggest challenge isn’t others trying to stop them; it’s figuring out how to do it together.
