“Easy Aces: Baby Food” – A Kansas City-born classic radio comedy
The Cast of “Easy Aces: Baby Food”
This week on Kansas City actors Radio Theatre, the beleaguered Goodman Ace finds himself juggling his work and home life when a surprise from Jane, his wife, intersects with a potential business client in the classic Kansas City-born radio comedy, Easy Aces!
The absurd fun of Easy Aces originated on KMBC right here in Kansas City in the 1930’s when the radio show following the real Goodman’s movie reviews failed to show up. To fill the time, Goodman and his wife, Jane, chatted about their weekend bridge game – and Easy Aces was born!
This episode features Sidonie Garrett and John Rensenhouse returning as Jane and Goodman Ace, with appearances from Jan Rogge, Phil Fiorini, Teisha Bankston, Walter Coppage (who also hosts), and Patrick Beasley with direction by Darren Sextro and sound design by Mary Robinson.
Catch malapropism-ridden hilarity when it airs locally this Friday at noon on KKFI 90.1 FM!
