Amazing Diverse Talent Will Be Showcased At The KC Fringe Festival!
The 15th Annual KC Fringe Festival Returns July 14-28
The 15th annual KC Fringe Festival is where adventurous audiences will meet adventurous artists. This 14-day explosion of unjuried, uncensored performing and visual arts features local, regional, and national performers and creators. Fringe Festival KC is the biggest celebration of arts and culture in the Kansas City metropolitan region, and our five-mile footprint spans through the cultural corridors of KC from Downtown to The Plaza. We feature visual, film, and performing artists in venues ranging in size from small to large.
Our festival opens with a large opening night party where artists preview their shows in rapid-fire succession and our Fringe loyalists mark their programs for the can’t-miss shows. This year’s festival offers more than 80 individual performing artists and groups presenting in 14 distinct venues. Youth and Teen Fringe also return with free family-friendly events and activities to encourage young people to actively participate in the arts. Throughout the festival, you can also count on Late Night on the Fringe events to meet, connect, and engage with participating artists and excited audiences. We culminate the festival with a celebratory closing night party. We eat, we dance, we celebrate the wonderful success of our Fringe participants.
All audience members must have a Fringe Button to access shows and galleries. The Fringe Button is a one time, five-dollar purchase (free for youth) that allows Fringe Festival KC to pay artists and venue owners from ticket revenue. Fringe Buttons may be purchased at Fringe 411 or at Fringe venues. Most events cost $10 ($5 youth tickets) and run 60 minutes. The visual arts component and the artist’s sale boutique are free and open to the public. Performance schedules and tickets are online at www.kcfringe.org.
