“The Man in My Beard” is about a janitor who gets hit by a ray of experimental science and finds himself living inside another man’s beard. Surviving among the whiskers on crumbs of food, he secretly steers his host into making better life decisions, but when a mad scientist discovers the location of the lab’s missing janitor, everything – even love ballads – are in mortal danger!
This international hit by Australian playwright Shane Adamczak was discovered at the Edmonton Fringe Festival in 2017 and is being restaged at the Kansas City Fringe Festival with local funnymen Bob Linebarger and J. Will Fritz. Special effects by Jill Gillespie and Natalee Merola. Directed by Tara MF Varney. Produced by Bryan Colley in association with Weeping Spoon Productions.
