ABOUT THE PLAY
A young nun is indicted for manslaughter, accused of murdering an infant she gave birth to in a cloistered convent. The case is assigned to a jaded, ex-Catholic psychiatrist to determine if the young woman was legally sane but is met with opposition by the convent’s Mother Superior. As the two women fight for the soul and health of Agnes, the young nun, their battle explores questions of Faith, Innocence, Memory, Sainthood, Obsession, Belief, Forgiveness, and Miracles.
