This 2018, Best of KC Fringe Venue Award winner is a personal reflection inside the heart and soul of legendary, Motown superstar Marvin Gaye.

Interspersed flashbacks of enthusiastic, recreated, live stage, concert to an isolated bedroom. Marvin (portrayed by Br. John) reveals the singer’s monumental effects of his struggle with manic depression, suicide and substance abuse, as he must come face to face with painful memories of an abusive childhood at the hands of his estranged father, the one he longs to seek validation and affection from.
