AN IMPORTANT REMINDER!

“BEING A BETTER BARN: AN INCLUSION FOCUS GROUP”

TUESDAY, AUGUST 27

AT THE ARTS ASYLUM

In all they do, the Barn Players strives to be as varied and diverse as possible. They take minority representation and inclusion seriously. They care about and want to do right by ALL the writers, directors, designers, actors, and audiences within their community. Yet, they want to do better, and intend to.

The Barn Players have now initiated an “Inclusion Focus Group” to help reach more people and build a truly wide ranging company of storytellers. But the truth is this: The Barn Players needs YOUR help. While all voices are important to hear, they need your input to learn more about what they can do to be better.

Please consider attending THE BARN PLAYERS INCLUSION FOCUS GROUP: Tuesday, Aug. 27, 7:30pm.

The Arts Asylum, 1000 East 9th Street, Kansas City, MO 64106.

This event is FREE of charge. RSPV at: https://barnfocus.brownpapertickets.com

The Barn Players discusses diversity in both their casting and show selection at board meetings and with their directors. They have been doing outreach, but they want to do much more. The Barn Players want to lead by example, yet also need some advice from the very varied people they want to support!

The Barn wants to tell ALL of your stories. Storytelling is after all what live theater is all about. There is never anyone who can tell your story better than YOU. The mission at The Barn is to produce quality theatre for the community, by the community, while nurturing theatre artists in practicing their craft. The Barn Players want to better represent our public and our city. Join them in being a better Barn!
