Barn Players cancel summer programming

FOR SAFETY’S SAKE, KANSAS CITY’S COMMUNITY THEATER, THE BARN PLAYERS CANCEL 2020 KID’S SUMMER PROGRAM.
What follows is an important programming message from Vida Bikales, Barn Players Board President, and the Barn Players Board of Directors…
The board of The Barn Players has made the difficult decision to cancel our Barn Kid’s Summer Program for 2020.
The health and safety of our families, staff and performers must be our top priority and given the concerns about the spread of COVID-19 and the recommendations at the federal, state and local level concerning social distancing and attendance at events, this decision is necessary to honor that priority.
We will send out further information about other upcoming events via our website and Facebook page.
During this unprecedented and difficult time we encourage you all to stay healthy, be kind to people, and support all the local arts organizations and artists who are struggling.
Vida Bikales, Board President; Eric Magnus Artistic Director; Lynn Reddick, Asst. Artistic Director; Steve Sears, Vice-President; Kay Noonan, Secretary; Becca Wagner, Treasurer; and Pam Craven, Ile Haggins, Devin Mirfasihi, Shelley Moran, Barbara Nichols, and Michael Poppa.
The Barn Players is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that welcomes and values all forms of diversity as they strive to better represent the performing arts community in Kansas City. Non-traditional and color conscious casting are encouraged.
