Internationally recognized Artist Rita Blitt to Display Several Pieces of Art at Historic Union Station
KCCreates Partners with Steps of Faith to Bring Rita Blitt’s Art to the Kansas City Fringe Festival
Kansas City, MO: The Kansas City Fringe Festival, a festival celebrating the avante garde of Kansas City art in all of its forms, is proud to announce that renowned artist Rita Blitt will be displaying several pastel pieces at our Visual Arts Show at Union Station. The artist generously donated these pieces to the Steps of Faith Foundation, a charity that provides prosthetic limbs to people in need. All proceeds from sales of the art will dually benefit Steps of Faith and KCCreates.
Rita Blitt’s philosophy, “Kindness is contagious. Catch it!” has inspired her art and people all around the world. Her paintings, sculptures and films are internationally recognized.
Her works are included in many museums and private collections, including: The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, John F. Kennedy Library, National Museum of Singapore, Spencer Museum of Art, Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, Nevada Museum of Art, and many more.
The Fringe Festival is holding a visual arts opening gala on Sunday, July 14 from 2pm to 5pm at Union Station’s main gallery. We would love to invite you there to meet representatives of the charities and enjoy local food and our activity table.
