PRESS TITLE: KC Local Nurse turned Artist to show the Newest Craze in Abstract Art, Acrylic Pour Art at the 15th Annual Fringe Festival KC 2019, July 14-29.
Although born with a very creative mind, I never considered myself to be an “artist”. Not until these amazing videos started showing up on my Facebook feed and completely captured my attention and desire to learn this fabulous art form! With no local classes to be found at the time, I turned to you tube videos and learned on my own. The rest, as they say, is history!
As an RN for nearly 29 years, my speciality and love was in Oncology and Hospice care. After all of those years and the last 8 practicing in hospice, my heart needed a break. I began painting furniture and then fell in love with Acrylic Pour Art. You can see my heart and passion in the pieces on display at The Fringe. The colors, the techniques, the imagination is endless!
My love for art and people also opened up a desire to share this art form. Along with creating I also teach in several KC area locations. I am passionate that everyone in my class feel a sense of accomplishment and pride in their creations from my attendees age 5 to 85!
Join us in the many family friendly activities this years Fringe Festival has to offer. You won’t be disappointed. And of course I would be grateful if you stop and take a look at my display and maybe choose an original, one-of-a-kind piece (or maybe 2) to own and proudly display in your own home, office or wherever you chose to do so.
